Palm today announced they will introduce a new Linux-based operating system for their devices later this year. The announcement on Palm Infocenter today indicated that these new devices will also include Palms current OS (Garnet) technology. This could mark the much needed infusion in a PDA that has started to show its age. It appears to be a cautious move on Palm’s part, so it will likely be an evolution in technology and not a revolution.
