Today’s Vista Delight
I was greeted by an unexpected surprise in my ongoing explorations of Windows Vista today. I’m back on the Internet! Now that doesn’t seem like such a big feat I’ll admit, but hear me out.
Under Windows XP I constantly used my Sprint Samsung A900 to connect to the Internet. I was frustrated because the Sprint Connection Manager software did not work under Vista. No Sprint Connection Manager = No Internet on the road.
In a wild hair moment today, I connected my A900 phone to my laptop and was amazed to see that Vista recognized it! So I thought, “Hey why not create a dial up networking connection”? I dialed and it worked! Vista did it and I now have my Internet connectivity back.
I love it when Microsoft releases a new desktop OS and Office suite. There are so many delightful new and useful features to uncover.
